hello summer

Well, we made it to the end of the school year. We are officially on summer break. Although I'm counting the days until August 25th when they go back, I'm happy for the kids. They finally get a normal summer. Our community pool is opening on Tuesday which is forecasted to be 104 degrees so that worked out well. VBS and other church camps are available and we'll be headed to the beach for sure.

Angus likes to play the game of "What will Otter let slide?"

We did our 2nd pizza oven day. Now we've pretty much got it down to a science. And by we, I mean Dan. My job is to taste test.

So, Dan makes gourmet pizzas in a fancy pizza oven. Angus actually appreciates my skills more. He says I'm the best chef ever. My specialties are oatmeal, scrambled eggs and noodles. You're welcome Angus's future wife. Settin' the bar pretty low for ya.

Speaking of Angus's future wife, he's actually engaged. He told this little girl at school that he's going to marry her. She didn't protest so he took that as a yes. His first order of business after getting married is to buy garbage cans on wheels. I guess he doesn't like our cans without wheels that he drags to the curb and back. Addie's actually engaged too. She pinky promised Oliver S in TK and though they haven't seen each other in a year or so, she remains faithful. She hasn't made any other pinky promises that I know of.

Wendy came into town for her hubby's golf tournament. This has become a bit of a tradition now for the ladies as well. We sit poolside while the guys sweat on the golf course. Wendy hung out for a week at the Wags' house. She slept in Angus's bed on the bottom bunk. Only the best for our guests!

Winter and Mya ask me for a phone weekly. I keep telling them, maybe in high school. Winter made her own cardboard phone to use in the meantime.

Happiest Birthday to my dear Elizabeth, that gorgeous lady in blue below.
Welcome to the mammogram club!

Last Day of School... Wendy was here to take pics as we picked them up.

(Thanks to Jess for this one!)

We didn't get one of Mya, unfortunately, but here is a pic of the greek donuts she made the other day for her Ancient Civilizations class.

Wendy took the littles out for FroYo and Flipflops (at Target).

And we took the big girls to see Cruella. Everyone loved it. The soundtrack was really good too.

Until next time Auntie Wendy!

Stay cool everyone! K.I.T. & H.A.G.S. 😍
