It's November and the holidays are underway. Halloween and the election have come and gone and the calendar is filling up with all the things. So before it gets too crazy, I thought I'd pop in to post some goings-on around here.
Haystacks have been a go-to meal around here since before these two were born. Just this year, the kids started combining ingredients. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but if you saw their little plates as toddlers with just a handful of beans, olives, cheese and 5 helpings of chips, you'd appreciate the progress =)
Addie swears by this method of ridding hic-ups.
We went to Bonelli Park with some friends the day after Halloween since Glendora had it off. It was empty and gorgeous. We played a form of tennis baseball for 3 hours and now Angus wants to be a professional ball player when he grows up.
I caught Addie snuggling Angus and promised I wouldn't show anyone if she'd let me take a pic. I lied.
Halloween =)
Winter and her friends dressed up as The Wizard of Oz characters. She'd never actually seen the movie so we watched it on Halloween night. The kids loved it. I would like to point out that Winter has a sandwich in her hand in this pic haha. She said she didn't trust anyone else to hold it while they took pictures =)
Doing PT. Angus is showing her that it's not that hard and she's being dramatic.
An amazing friend dropped off some fresh caught tuna and we had sushi. The girls were in heaven. We don't often take them out for sushi so it was the best day ever.
We did an under-the-sea theme for the church "Trunk or Treat." Mya made the jellyfish costumes. Winter had the mermaid tail and I found some shark hats at the thrift store.
These two have been inseparable since they were a few years old. They go to school together then they facetime each other when they get home. I love their silly energy together.
We have a new pet, unintentionally. This bird has sat on our fountain to get a drink of water every day for about 3 weeks. Then she walks or flies over to the wall between our house and the neighbor's house and just sits there like that's her home.
The kids named the pigeon Yinter. Winter suggested that we name it Winter with a Y, meaning Wynter. Angus said, "Yinter?" And thus her name was born.
She's a special bird. She flew into the bathroom window. Twice. She also fell in the fountain while drinking one time. We still love her.
Mya Grandma Wilda turned 98 October 18th. I was able to go visit her in Vegas along with my sis Steph. It was the best time with the best company as usual.

It gets windy there.

We went to a nearby casino to watch the Dodger game.
We taught Grandma "Scrabble."
Mya joined showchoir this year. She's loving it. We went to her first performance. They did songs from Mama Mia. It was so fun and she was too adorable.
Some of her friends came to watch her performance too.
One of Angus's favorite things is the drive-through carwash
Homecoming 💕
That's all folks!
